Need for Experts and Specialised Agencies and Their Role

Need

Bringing about overall development in a village needs convergence of various activities and single person or organisation can't be expert in all fields. There is need to identify who specialise which field. Say for example, if we want to bring about change in agriculture sector there are many aspects involved. Some specialise in production/manufacturing of tools/implements while some produce HYV seeds, some scientist specilise in suggesting specific crop /plant in a particular variety of soil etc. In the field of livelihood, various organisations have distinguished themselves by creating unique opportunity of employment among villagers. Like-wise, some are working in the field of solid and liquid waste management, technological development etc. There is need to have a database system which can help in quickly identifying who should be contacted for specific work.

Moreover, there is no plateform to quickly find innovations made/expertise for expansion of their efforts/activities in the country. For this purpose, SSEG is collecting basic information in structured format from such Individuals and Organisations so that they can be easily contacted for seeking their participation in overall development of the villages, planned for Model Village.  

It may be noted that successful experiments have also been done in different fields/parts of the country. If these experiments are compiled and a system is built up to replicate the same in other parts of the country, it will ulitmately benefit people. Role

Their role will be to work in their respective field in the villages where need for their product/service is felt useful and necessary. SSEG Team will contact them to explore possibilities across the country. If for a similar product there are agencies in different states/districts it will be easy to seek their services.
