Role of Local NGOs

Under SSEG Mission of converting a typical village into a 'Model Village' role of local NGOs are very important. Each NGO is working in different field and specialise their core field. Their experience and expertise needs to be utilised. Since they have presence in the same district where the villages are being adopted, it would be easy for Facilitators and the villagers to seek their cooperation in chanelising their resources. There would be need for many activities for which NGOs have to play a significant role like helping Facilitators in drawing out proper and scientific plan, pooling up exisitng centrally and state sponsored programmes, working with IRDA in seeking CSR fund, seeking donations and other cooperation from various agencies/organisations for which IRDA will guide as per requirement. Organising training to Facilitators would be required from time to time to enhance their capability and empower them to work efficiently. 

Therefore, local NGOs have to realise their role and importance in making the Mission a success. To be part of this Mission there is need to register with SSEG so that we may empanel them to contact.
